Spotlight on the Stars:

Welcome to Spotlight on the Stars, our blog series that shines a light on the incredible agents who make up The Agency Hilton Head – Beaufort. We’re thrilled to feature Chip Kasay, a Bluffton local whose respect, determination, and passion for people shine through every interaction. Whether he’s helping a young family settle into a cozy neighborhood or squeezing in a golf round after church on Sunday, Chip’s blend of local insight and genuine care makes him an invaluable guide in the Lowcountry market. Keep reading to learn more about his real estate superpower, his favorite vaulted ceilings, and the historical figure he’d invite to dinner.

The Agency: What excites you about real estate, and what are some of your best qualities as an agent?

Chip: I love helping people find homes that truly fit their families. Every client is different, and understanding who they are helps me find what works best for them. I bring respect, passion, determination, and adaptability to every transaction.

The Agency: Do you have any specialized or local knowledge that would benefit your clients?

Chip: I grew up vacationing in Bluffton and now live here with my wife and family. My parents and brother’s family live here, too...this is home. I also gained valuable insights by learning from one of South Carolina’s top agents.

The Agency: What drew you to real estate, and how long have you been in the industry?

Chip: I’ve loved homes since I was young. My background in luxury residential construction helped me see how homes reflect the people who live in them, and real estate was the next natural step.

The Agency: What's the most rewarding part of your job as a real estate agent?

Chip: Knowing I did everything I could to help a family find their forever home, and building lasting relationships along the way.

The Agency: What trends are you seeing in the market right now that excite you?

Chip: Seeing younger families move to the area. They bring variety and new energy to our communities, plus they help local businesses grow.

The Agency: What's the most unique or memorable property you've ever sold?

Chip: My next one—because every home and story is different.

The Agency: Can you share a memorable moment you had with a client?

Chip: Once, a client misstepped on a staircase and broke her ankle during a showing. She had to leave on a stretcher, which was definitely memorable!

The Agency: How would you describe your approach to helping clients find their perfect home?

Chip: Build the relationship first. I need to understand what matters to my clients before I can find them the right home.

The Agency: What advice would you give first-time home buyers?

Chip: Don’t buy a new car before applying for a mortgage!

The Agency: Do you have a "real estate superpower" – a unique skill or strength you bring to the table?

Chip: Respect. It’s the foundation for every client relationship.

The Agency: What do you consider the "hidden gem" neighborhoods in our area, and why?

Chip: Callawassie Island and Moss Creek - beautiful, peaceful communities that sometimes fly under the radar.

The Agency: If you could design a dream home for yourself, what must-have features would it include?

Chip: An open floor plan, two kitchen islands, a butler’s pantry, multiple dishwashers, a two-story gym and golf simulator, multiple laundry rooms, and a huge outdoor patio with a pool.

The Agency: What's your favorite room or feature in your own home, and why?

Chip: Our vaulted ceilings with big wooden beams - they make the whole space feel open and inviting.

The Agency: What's one tip for making a house feel like "home" right after moving in?

Chip: Invest in a couch you love. A comfortable sofa is where life happens.

The Agency: What's your go-to way to unwind after a busy day of showings and closings?

Chip: Working out or playing golf.

The Agency: If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be and why?

Chip: Billy Graham—his impact and wisdom inspire me.

The Agency: What's your favorite local restaurant, and what's your go-to order?

Chip: The Pearl and Red Fish.

The Agency: Are you a coffee or tea person, and how do you take it?

Chip: Coffee. Black with honey most of the time, but I’ll treat myself to a caramel latte occasionally.

The Agency: What's one app on your phone you can't live without?

The Agency: If you could instantly become an expert in any skill, what would it be?

Chip: If I could become an expert in any skill, it would be golf.
