The Agency Hilton Head Volunteers with Habitat for Humanity of the Lowcountry, Donates $5,000 Raised Through Charity Pickleball Tournament
Hilton Head Island, SC | December 2, 2025
The Agency Hilton Head celebrated Giving Tuesday by rolling up their sleeves and getting to work. On December 2, members of the brokerage’s leadership and agents joined Habitat for Humanity of the Lowcountry in Jasper County for a hands-on build day, helping bring a new home one step closer to move-in ready for a qualifying local family.
The Agency team jumped straight into the construction effort. Volunteers painted the entire interior of the home, hung doors, installed electrical faceplates, and tackled whatever tasks were needed. Spirits stayed high, the laughter was loud, and the shared goal was clear: help move this family closer to a Christmas move-in.
During the build, The Agency team also presented Habitat for Humanity of the Lowcountry with a $5,000 check. The donation represents funds raised at the brokerage’s First Annual Big Dill Charity Pickleball Tournament, held October 2 at Dill Dinkers on Hilton Head Island.
"What a fun way to support Habitat for Humanity of the Lowcountry! We are greatly appreciative of the support from all the Agency Realtors in putting on a successful event that led to this generous donation. These funds will go directly to helping build a house for a qualifying family," said Jeb Bush, Development Director at Habitat for Humanity of the Lowcountry.
Alison Melton, Managing Partner of The Agency Hilton Head, spoke to the partnership moving forward. "This isn't a one-and-done. Giving back is part of our culture and part of how we show up for the communities we serve. Habitat for Humanity of the Lowcountry is doing critical work in Beaufort and Jasper counties, and we're committed to being part of that story year after year."
A Day of Real Impact
Nearly 50 players and close to 100 spectators rallied for the Big Dill this fall, raising funds through ticket sales, donations, and raffle prizes. The result was not just a competitive and wildly entertaining night but a meaningful investment in local housing. Habitat for Humanity of the Lowcountry has built more than 190 homes since 1990, maintaining a foreclosure rate under 2 percent because of its rigorous qualification process and deep commitment to long-term success. The Agency's contribution now moves one of Habitat's upcoming projects forward, providing essential funding for materials and construction costs.
Paige Rose, Managing Director of Marketing at The Agency Hilton Head, emphasized the brokerage's mission-driven approach. "Our job is to help people find 'home'. Sometimes that means listings and closings, and sometimes it means putting a hammer in your hand on a Tuesday. Habitat's work changes lives in a way that's tangible, immediate, and long-lasting. We're honored to support that."
About The Big Dill Charity Pickleball Tournament
The Agency Hilton Head hosted its inaugural Big Dill Charity Pickleball Tournament on October 2 at Dill Dinkers. What began as a casual idea quickly turned into a high-energy night complete with spirited matches, gourmet concessions from SERG, and a signature event cocktail. Nearly 50 players competed, with dozens more cheering from the sidelines.
Champions Andrew Snodgrass and Paul O'Neil took home the top spot, while Michelle Taylor and John Taylor secured second place. But the real winners were the families served by Habitat for Humanity of the Lowcountry, the designated beneficiary through The Agency's partnership with Giveback Homes.
Sabeth Biangone, Managing Director of Sales at The Agency Hilton Head, highlighted the community connection. "The Lowcountry shows up. Always. Our agents, our sponsors, our clients, our friends. Everyone leaned in to make the Big Dill a success, and taking that energy straight into a Habitat build day felt like the perfect next step."
