From her matcha-fueled mornings to her love for Lowcountry living and personal touches that turn transactions into relationships, Lacey brings a heart-forward approach to everything she does. Read on as we dive into what inspires her, what she’s learned along the way, and why her clients can’t stop raving.
The Agency: What excites you about real estate and what are your some of your best qualities as an agent?
Lacey: One of the things I love most about real estate is helping sellers uncover ways to add value to their property before hitting the market. Whether it’s small updates that make a big impact or strategic pricing and marketing, I enjoy guiding my clients toward the best possible outcome. I’d say my greatest strength as an agent is my white-glove service approach. I come from a place of service in everything I do, ensuring that the buying or selling process is as seamless and stress-free as possible. My goal is not just to close transactions but to create an experience that feels effortless and rewarding for my clients.
The Agency: Do you have any specialized/local knowledge that will benefit your clients?
Lacey: Absolutely! I feel my expertise lies in helping sellers maximize their home’s value before listing. From strategic improvements to market positioning, I focus on identifying ways to attract the right buyers and get the best possible return. This approach isn’t just beneficial for sellers—it works for buyers too! I help them recognize hidden potential in properties, whether it’s through smart upgrades, value-driven negotiations, or understanding local market trends. My goal is to ensure every client—buyer or seller—feels confident in their investment.
The Agency: What drew you to real estate, and how long have you been in the industry?
Lacey: I was first drawn to real estate when I was purchasing my first home. Through first hand experience, I fell in love with the idea of helping people through such an important milestone in their lives. Whether it’s a first-time buyer finding their dream home or a seller maximizing their return, I enjoy making the process as seamless and rewarding as possible. I’ve been in the industry for over 18 years, and in that time, I’ve learned that real estate is about so much more than just buying and selling—it’s about building relationships, solving challenges, and creating opportunities for my clients. Every transaction is different, and that’s what keeps me passionate and excited about what I do!
The Agency: What’s the most rewarding part of your job as a real estate agent?
Lacey: I take pride in making the process as smooth and stress-free as possible, ensuring my clients feel supported every step of the way. Seeing their excitement, relief, and happiness at the closing table is what makes this job so meaningful to me!
The Agency: What advice would you give first-time home buyers?
Lacey: Take your time, do your research, and trust the process! Buying your first home is exciting, but it’s also a big decision, and being well-prepared can make all the difference. First Thing - Get Pre-Approved! Before you start house hunting, know what you can afford. A pre-approval not only helps you understand your budget but also makes you a stronger buyer in a competitive market. Then prioritize Your Needs vs. Wants – It’s easy to get caught up in all the possibilities, but focus on what truly matters—location, layout, and long-term potential. Some things can be changed later, but others can’t!
The Agency: Do you have a “real estate superpower” – a unique skill or strength you bring to the table?
Lacey: My real estate superpower is going the extra mile for my clients—every single time. Whether it’s handling the small details that make a big difference, anticipating challenges before they arise, or rolling up my sleeves to get a home market-ready, I believe in delivering a seamless, stress-free experience. I don’t just facilitate transactions—I create solutions, find opportunities, and do whatever it takes to ensure my clients feel supported from start to finish. At the end of the day, my goal is to not only meet expectations but exceed them in every way possible.
The Agency: What do you consider the “hidden gem” neighborhoods in our area, and why?
Lacey: Although not so hidden, Bluffton Park is truly a gem of a neighborhood. With its Charleston-style homes, scenic lakes, and easy access to a nearby park and splash pad, it offers charm and convenience in one beautiful package. The walkability to all things Old Town is second to none, making it a fantastic place to live for those who love being close to Bluffton’s heart. Another standout is Stock Farm. This neighborhood features gorgeous modern farmhouse-style homes on larger lots, providing a mix of space and style. Plus, its prime location offers accessibility to both Old Town and the May River, making it a perfect blend of Lowcountry living and modern comfort. To me, both neighborhoods capture the essence of Bluffton—charm, convenience, and community.
The Agency: If you could design a dream home for yourself, what must-have features would it include?
Lacey: My dream home would have an expansive, eat-in kitchen—the true heart of the home. I’d have exposed brick walls, a built-in banquette, double islands, and a gorgeous pantry and prep kitchen to keep everything organized and functional. The family room would be warm and inviting, featuring a big, beautiful brick fireplace with a rustic wood mantle, flanked by gorgeous built-ins. For the primary suite, I’d want a deck with an infrared sauna and the bathroom would be a true retreat—a large, spa-like space with a walk-in wet area with a free-standing soaking tub, and a luxurious shower. To bring the outdoors in, I’d add a Carolina room off the back of the home, complete with an additional fireplace. With tons of natural light and cozy touches, it would be the perfect place to unwind while taking in the views. The front porch would be wrap-around and feature beautiful brick details. The exterior of the home would be a crisp white with sage(ish) green shutters flanking large picture windows with wooden window boxes. I could go on and on...
The Agency: What’s your favorite room or feature in your own home, and why?
Lacey: My favorite feature has to be my double porch! I live right across from a park, so I get to enjoy the beautiful scenery from both my front porch and the deck off my bedroom. Having those peaceful views and outdoor spaces makes my home feel like a retreat.
The Agency: What’s one tip for making a house feel like “home” right after moving in?
Lacey: Start one room at a time. Moving can feel overwhelming, so focusing on one space at a time helps bring a sense of order and comfort. Personally, I’d start with the kitchen, since it’s usually the hub of the home. Getting it set up—unpacking essentials or even making a simple meal—instantly creates a feeling of home. Once the heart of the house is ready, everything else starts to fall into place!
The Agency: If you could live in any fictional home (from a movie, book, etc.), where would you pick and why?
Lacey: I’d choose the beach house from Message in a Bottle. It has that perfect blend of rustic charm, a huge front porch, and, of course, an unbeatable view of the water. There’s something so peaceful about the idea of waking up to the sound of the waves, enjoying slow mornings on the porch, and soaking in the beauty of the coast every day.
The Agency: What’s your go-to way to unwind after a busy day of showings and closings?
Lacey: In my quest to find balance and take better care of my health, I’ve really leaned into self-care. My favorite way to unwind at the end of the day is wrapping myself in my sauna blanket, putting on a collagen mask, and getting lost in a good book. It’s the perfect way to relax, recharge, and reset.
The Agency: What’s your favorite local restaurant, and what’s your go-to order?
Lacey: Hmmm… that’s a tough one! But if I had to choose, I’d probably say Skull Creek Dockside—not just for the amazing food and drinks, but for the overall atmosphere. It was the first restaurant we visited when we came to the Lowcountry, and we’ve loved it ever since! Whether it’s fresh seafood, a great cocktail, or simply enjoying the waterfront views, it’s always a go-to spot for me.
Are you a coffee or tea person, and how do you take it?
Lacey: I’m a Matcha Girl through and through! 🍵 I love starting my day with a smooth, energizing matcha latte made with a little coconut milk and adaptogen creamer for that extra brain boost. It’s the perfect way to fuel my day while keeping things balanced and focused!
The Agency: What’s one app on your phone you can’t live without?
Lacey: Instagram! I love using it to stay connected, find inspiration, and share what’s happening in my world—whether it’s real estate or everyday moments. It’s the perfect mix of business and fun, and let’s be honest… it’s way too easy to get lost scrolling at times.
The Agency: Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies outside of real estate?
Lacey: Well, as a mom to an 8-year-old boy, my main “hobby” is chauffeuring him to all his school and sporting events—which, let’s be honest, feels like a full-time job in itself! As for hidden talents, I love to bake and enjoy taking on home renovation projects. Whether it’s trying out a new recipe in the kitchen or tackling a DIY project to transform a space, I love getting creative and making something from scratch.
The Agency: What’s a book or show you’re currently obsessed with?
Lacey: I’m big on personal development books, and right now, I’m loving The Go-Giver. It really resonates with me because my love language is acts of service and gifts, and this book reinforces the power of generosity in both business and life. It’s a great reminder that success isn’t just about what we achieve, but how much we give and the impact we make along the way.
The Agency: What’s something on your bucket list you’re hoping to check off soon?
Lacey: See Scotland & Norway trip details below. It’s a trip I’ve been dreaming about for a long time, and I’m hoping to check it off my bucket list soon!
The Agency: What’s one item in your home that you could never part with?
Lacey: One item I could never part with is my dining room table. My grandfather, a talented woodworker, built it over 50 years ago with his own two hands. It’s more than just a piece of furniture—it’s a connection to him and the craftsmanship he poured into it. Over the years, I’ve refinished it and brought it back to life, ensuring it continues to be a centerpiece in my home. No matter where I live, it’s something that will always have a place in my home.
The Agency: If you could instantly become an expert in any skill, what would it be?
Lacey: Hmm… if I could instantly master any skill, I think I’d choose carpentry and home renovations. I love the idea of being able to bring a vision to life, transform spaces, and add value in a hands-on way. Being able to tackle any project—from custom built-ins to full remodels—would be both fun and incredibly useful!
The Agency: What's your favorite way to spend a Sunday in the Lowcountry?
Lacey: If I’m not working, I love enjoying a slow morning on the porch, taking in the peaceful Lowcountry surroundings. My son and I have a special Sunday morning tradition—grabbing an Alljoy donut and walking thru Old Town - it's the simple moments and a perfect way to recharge before the week ahead!
The Agency: Are you a morning person or a night owl?
Lacey: A little of both, but I definitely lean more towards a night owl. I love the quiet and stillness of late nights—it’s when I feel the most creative and productive. But I also appreciate a good morning routine (as long as there’s matcha involved!)
The Agency: What’s your dream travel destination, and what would you do there first?
Lacey: Scotland and Norway! These destinations are extra special to me because my family is from both places, and I’ve always wanted to explore the lands my family came from. In Scotland, I’d start by visiting the Highlands, soaking in the breathtaking scenery, and connecting with my heritage. And of course a visit to a cozy pub for some authentic Scottish fare would be in order. In Norway, seeing the Northern Lights would be an unforgettable experience! Exploring both places wouldn’t just be about the adventure—it would be about connecting with my roots and experiencing the beauty and history of where my family came from.
The Agency: Do you have a “guilty pleasure” snack or treat?
Lacey: A dark chocolate peanut butter cup—hands down! The perfect combo and just the right amount of indulgence. It’s my go-to treat when I need a little sweet pick-me-up!
The Agency: If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Lacey: Dedicated, Resourceful, Genuine.
The Agency: What’s your favorite thing about living in this area?
Lacey: There’s so much to love about the Lowcountry, but for me, it’s the natural beauty, small-town charm, and sense of community that make it truly special. From the breathtaking marsh views and live oak trees draped in Spanish moss to the slower pace of life, it’s a place that just feels like home. I also love the tight-knit community—people genuinely look out for each other here, and there’s always a friendly face around. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
The Agency: Complete this sentence: "Living in the Lowcountry wouldn’t be the same without…
Lacey: ... front porch swings, breathtaking marsh views, vibrant festivals deeply rooted in Lowcountry culture, fresh seafood, and the sense of community that makes anyone feel at home.
