What excites you about real estate, and what are some of your best qualities as an agent?

Jessica: The chance to help people find a place they can truly call home. It's incredibly rewarding to guide clients through such a significant milestone and see the joy on their faces when they find the perfect property. I also love that every day in real estate is unique—no two clients or transactions are ever the same, which keeps me motivated and always learning.

As an agent, some of my best qualities are my dedication to clear communication, commitment to making the process as smooth as possible, and genuine passion for helping others. I'm overly detail-oriented and proactive, which helps my clients feel confident and supported throughout each step of their journey. Plus, I bring an approachable, upbeat energy that makes working together enjoyable, and I always go above and beyond to ensure their needs are met.

Do you have any specialized/local knowledge that will benefit your clients?

Jessica: As a military spouse, I bring a unique perspective and approach to working with clients, especially those navigating the challenges of relocating due to a PCS. I understand firsthand the complexities of military moves, and I know how to streamline the process to make transitions to and from the area as seamless as possible. Beyond my personal experience, I'm also a certified Military Relocation Professional (MRP), equipping me with specific strategies and insights to effectively meet military clients' needs.

In addition, my knowledge of Beaufort, Bluffton, and the surrounding Lowcountry areas allows me to cater to a range of clients, including those looking for luxury properties. I understand the unique elements that make luxury homes stand out and have a deep appreciation for the finer details that luxury clients value. From knowing the prime neighborhoods to understanding local market trends and exclusive amenities, I am able to provide a tailored experience that speaks to each client's unique lifestyle and preferences.

What drew you to real estate, and how long have you been in the industry?

Jessica: Plain and simple, my passion for connecting with people and helping them achieve meaningful goals. I've always loved the idea of turning a house into a home and have a natural eye for design, so real estate felt like a perfect fit. With over two years in the business, I've seen how rewarding it is to combine my love for community with my skills in guiding people through significant life changes. It's not just about the transactions for me; it's about building lifelong relationships with clients who often become friends and positively impacting each client's life along the way.

What trends are you seeing in the market right now that excite you?

Jessica: I'm excited by the growing trend of buyers seeking lifestyle-focused properties, especially in the Lowcountry area. More people are prioritizing homes that offer outdoor spaces, water views, and a sense of tranquility, which our area has in abundance.

How would you describe your approach to helping clients find their perfect home?

Jessica: My approach is centered around understanding my client's unique needs and truly listening to what matters most to them. I take time to get to know each client's lifestyle, preferences, and long-term goals so I can tailor the search to homes that genuinely align with their vision. I'm also committed to providing clear, consistent communication, ensuring clients feel supported and informed at every step.

What advice would you give first-time home buyers?

Jessica: It will undoubtedly feel overwhelming - take it one step at a time and trust the process. Prioritize your must-haves, but stay flexible with the small details. It's easy to get caught up in minor imperfections, but finding a home with great bones that fits your lifestyle is what really matters. I always tell first-time buyers to lean on their agent for guidance and ask questions, no matter how small. My job is to ensure you feel comfortable and confident every step of the way.

What are the "hidden gem" neighborhoods in our area, and why?

Jessica: I love Habersham in Beaufort. It is a perfect snapshot of Southern Charm and has incredible restaurants, farmer's markets, and festivals.

What's one tip for making a house feel like "home" right after moving in?

Jessica: Don't be afraid of adding color, it is a quick way to add personality right away. This can be done with more than just paint— you can do this with things like throw pillows and artwork, too. Adding personal touches, like family photos or items with sentimental value, can also make a big difference in making it feel familiar and comfortable.

What's your go-to way to unwind after a busy day of showings and closings?

Jessica: Admittedly, I'm terrible at unwinding, but I do love running and run on my peloton almost daily which is a good shut-off button for me.

What's your favorite local restaurant, and what's your go-to order?

Jessica: Hands down, Blacksheep in Beaufort. The menu is always changing, so it's hard to say what my favorite is, but everything that Matt makes is incredible. An absolute must-try!

What's one app on your phone you can't live without?

Jessica: Yelp. I love to get insight into businesses, especially restaurants before I visit. It's the planner in me.

What's something on your bucket list you hope to check off soon?

Jessica: Currently in the works is launching an interior design arm of my business. I've always had a passion for creating beautiful, functional spaces, and it's a natural extension of my work in real estate. My hope is to help clients envision the full potential of their homes, whether they're buying, selling, or simply looking to refresh their space.

What's one item in your home that you could never part with?

Jessica: My Tineco. It changed my life with kids and dogs. I am convinced everyone with any sort of hard surface, not carpet, in their house absolutely needs one of these.

What's your favorite way to spend a Sunday in the Lowcountry?

Jessica: I never turn down a good Sunday brunch, and I love fall Sundays hanging out at home with football, board games, and charcuterie boards. I am a total homebody and will take any chance to lounge at home to reset for the upcoming week.

What's your dream travel destination, and what would you do there first?

Jessica: I'd love to get to Paris in the next couple of years. I'm a sucker for a cozy cafe, so I'd likely head to one near the Eiffel Tower and soak in the view before even checking into my hotel. I'd love to explore Parisian art galleries, stroll the streets, visit local antique shops, and experience the incredible architecture and history.

Do you have a "guilty pleasure" snack or treat?

Jessica: Oh, I love this question! Most people see me starting every morning with a big kale smoothie, but don't let that fool you—I have a major sweet tooth. My absolute favorite treat is a Carmello bar, and I can never turn down a fireside s'more - lifehack, add a Resee's to it instead of Hershey's!

If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?

Jessica: If I had to describe myself in three words, they would be empathetic, ambitious, and kind, with a healthy dose of bubbly enthusiasm. As someone who thrives on connecting with people, I bring empathy to every relationship, allowing me to truly understand and support my clients' needs. My ambition keeps me driven and focused on delivering the best outcomes, while my kindness and upbeat personality make each interaction warm and approachable. I'm passionate about creating an experience that's not only successful but also enjoyable for everyone involved.

What's your favorite thing about living in this area?

Jessica: My favorite thing about living in this area is the endless charm and history. I love that Beaufort feels like a cozy retreat with a tight-knit community, yet I still have easy access to vibrant cities like Savannah and Charleston just a short drive away. It's the perfect blend of peaceful coastal living with just the right amount of adventure close by!

How do you see the local real estate market changing over the next few years?

Jessica: As more people discover the charm and lifestyle the Lowcountry offers and the ongoing prevalence of remote work, I anticipate an influx of buyers from larger cities seeking a more laid-back lifestyle and appreciating the area's natural beauty and sense of community. I also expect to see significant movement from the Charleston market as buyers look for a change of pace.

Complete this sentence: "Living in the Lowcountry wouldn't be the same without…

Jessica: Living in the Lowcountry wouldn't be the same without its quintessential charm and (mostly) mild, inviting weather that allows us to enjoy outdoor adventures all year long. With young kids, it's essential to have that easy access to nature, where we can explore, play, and make memories together in such a beautiful, family-friendly environment.
