July 2026 Events in Hilton Head, Bluffton & Beaufort — Your Lowcountry Summer Guide

There's a reason people who visit the Lowcountry never quite want to leave, and July makes that feeling impossible to ignore. Between the Spanish moss, the salt air, and a calendar packed with fireworks, festivals, and waterfront celebrations, this region has a way of turning a summer trip into something that starts to feel like home.

Whether you're already a resident, a returning visitor, or someone quietly wondering what it would look like to wake up here every day — here's everything happening across Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, and Beaufort this July 2026.

Hilton Head Island

Fourth of July — A Full Day Celebration

July 4, 2026

Hilton Head doesn't do Fourth of July quietly. The day kicks off early with the Hilton Head Firecracker 5K Run and Family Fun Walk at 8:00 am at Jarvis Creek Park, followed by the Fourth of July Parade through Harbour Town from 8:30 to 10:30 am and a Fourth of July Carnival from 10:00 to 11:30 am.

By mid-afternoon, the celebration moves to the shoreline. Salute From The Shore — South Carolina's beloved Fourth of July military flyover — travels along the coast, with fighter jets expected to arrive near Sea Pines Beach Club around 1:30 pm. Bring a beach chair, look up, and take a moment. It's one of those Lowcountry traditions that stays with you.

As evening sets in, Harbour Town becomes the place to be. Legendary island performer Gregg Russell takes the stage under the Liberty Oak from 8:00 to 9:00 pm — a Sea Pines classic that draws families back year after year. Fireworks light up the sky over the Harbour Town Lighthouse and Calibogue Sound at approximately 9:00 pm.

For those heading to Shelter Cove, the HarbourFest 4th of July Fireworks celebration runs from 6:00 to 10:00 pm at Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina — free and open to the public, with Shannon Tanner patriotic shows at 6:30 and 8:00 pm, kids' activities with Cappy the Clown, bounce houses, and train rides. Free parking and shuttle service available from 862A and 870C William Hilton Parkway from 5:30 to 10:30 pm. Note: No coolers. No drones during fireworks. Weather permitting.
