Few weekends say "Hilton Head" quite like Concours weekend. Locals simply call it "The Concours," but there is far more to it than one day of beautiful cars on a golf course. This year's festival runs three days, October 30 through November 1, and each day has its own personality. Whether you've been going for years or are just getting to know the island, here's how to plan your weekend.
Friday, October 30
Lowcountry Driving Tour
Friday, October 30 | 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM | Departing from the Concours headquarters
Part parade, part love letter to the island, this scenic cruise winds through Hilton Head's historic landmarks and local landscapes alongside some of the festival's standout cars. It's a great way to see the island's heritage from behind the wheel.
Motorcars & Music: An Evening with Taylor Hicks
Friday, October 30 | Doors 6:00 PM, Music 6:45 PM | Port Royal Golf Club, 18th Fairway
Concours weekend kicks off with a benefit concert under the Lowcountry sky. American Idol winner Taylor Hicks brings his Southern soul, blues, and rock to the fairway, joined by the band Folderol.
Saturday, October 31
Car Club Showcase
Saturday, October 31 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Port Royal Golf Club, Planter's Row
Car clubs and enthusiasts fill the first and 18th fairways with everything from vintage classics to modern performance machines, and invited clubs compete for awards. Think cars-and-coffee energy with the polish of a true concours.
Sunday, November 1
Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance
Sunday, November 1 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Port Royal Golf Club, Planter's Row
Sunday is the main event, and it is not a repeat of Saturday. Overnight, the field transforms into a nationally judged competition, with more than 200 rare vehicles vying for Best of Show before 75 judges from across North America.
This year's honored marque is Jaguar. Featured collections include:
- Ivan "The Car Nut" Ruiz, the Honored Collector, bringing a lineup of Maseratis
- Robert Dyson, the Motorsports Collector, with racing cars including a 1904 Napier L48 "Samson," billed as the first successful six-cylinder racing car
- Stephen Plaster, the Pinnacle Collector, with a 1969 Chevy Yenko Camaro
- Mike and Debbie Rogers, the Velocity Collectors, with a 2017 Lamborghini Huracán
More Than Cars
"Motoring" covers a lot of ground. The boats are back this year, a tradition that started 15 years ago. The festival is also leaning into newer, more modern machines to bring in a younger crowd, and organizers hope kids leave curious about who designs, builds, and restores these cars.
A New Perk for Beaufort County Residents
For the first time, the Concours is offering a Locals Lane Access Pass for Beaufort County residents. It includes:
- A VIP lanyard
