5 Ways to Give Back This November in Bluffton, Beaufort & Hilton Head
As the Lowcountry slips into the cozy calm of November, it’s the perfect time to pause and reflect on gratitude, and to give back to the community we’re so thankful to call home. From Bluffton to Beaufort to Hilton Head Island, opportunities to make a difference are everywhere this season. Whether you’re donating toys, serving meals, or supporting local families, your kindness can light up the holidays for a neighbor in need.
Here are five meaningful ways to give back this November across the Lowcountry, including how you can join The Agency Hilton Head & Beaufort’s Annual Toy Drive.
1. Join The Agency’s Annual Toy Drive
We’re thrilled to once again partner with local organizations to spread holiday cheer through our Annual Toy Drive, running now through December 5th. Your donations of new, unwrapped toys will help make the season brighter for children across Bluffton, Beaufort, and Hilton Head Island.
You can drop off toys at our offices or bring them to our Client Appreciation Event in Downtown Bluffton at the Historic Heyward House. Every gift helps bring joy to a local family this Christmas.

2. Support Bluffton Self Help’s Food Drive
No one should go hungry during the holidays, and Bluffton Self Help works tirelessly to make sure every family has food on the table. This November, consider donating canned goods, pantry staples, or grocery gift cards. You can also volunteer to sort donations or assist with their Thanksgiving meal distribution.

3. Volunteer at The Deep Well Project on Hilton Head Island
For over 50 years, The Deep Well Project has been helping Hilton Head neighbors in crisis — from providing rent and utility assistance to stocking their food pantry and holiday toy shop. Volunteers can help sort donations, deliver goods, or assist families during their holiday program.

4. Donate Warm Clothing in Beaufort
As temperatures drop, HELP of Beaufort and The Salvation Army of Beaufort are collecting winter coats, blankets, and cold-weather gear. Drop-offs of gently used or new items go directly to local residents facing hardship this season.

📍 The Salvation Army – 2505 North St.
Even one coat can help someone stay warm through the winter — a simple gesture with lasting impact.
5. Lend a Hand (or a Paw) at the Hilton Head Humane Association
If you’re an animal lover, the Hilton Head Humane Association is always looking for volunteers to walk dogs, socialize cats, or assist at their thrift store. Donations of pet food, bedding, and supplies are also welcome — because pets deserve holiday love too!
